Product Features

The JDG Multi-Functional (4-in-1) Intelligent Line Fault Indicator has a similar appearance to the JDX, with the same product features, functions, applications and technical specifications. Their internal structures and operating principles are also identical. However, the JDG is additionally equipped with a device that can emit light at night.

Operating Principle

The principle of earth fault and short-circuit fault indication is the same as that of the 2-in-1 (JDX) indicator: three phototubes and high-brightness light-emitting tubes are added to the original 2-in-1 fault indicator. When a line fault occurs during the day, the indicator displays the fault by flipping the sign. At night (in darkness), the resistance of the phototube increases, which turns on the single-chip microcomputer, resets the flipped sign, and simultaneously activates the light-emitting tubes to work. When dawn breaks, since the preset reset time of the indicator has not expired, the phototube receives light and its resistance decreases. The single-chip microcomputer then resets to cut off the operation of the light-emitting tubes and turns on the sign-flipping mechanism, thus restoring the sign-flipping indication.
