Product Overview
The CH 550 Contact Box is manufactured using epoxy resin APG (Automatic Pressure Gelation) process molding technology. It is a dedicated insulating connection device for drawout-type switchgear, primarily applied in 10KV–12KV class drawout-type centrally-mounted switchgear (middle-mounted cabinets). It provides insulating isolation and transitional connection functions, delivering effective insulation protection for internal contacts within switchgear, and ensuring the safe and stable operation of power systems.
Application Scope
This contact box is applicable to 10KV–12KV class drawout-type centrally-mounted switchgear, commonly used in power distribution systems, industrial substations, high-rise building distribution rooms, mining and industrial enterprise power distribution systems, and similar electrical installations. It serves as the insulation protection and transitional connection component for internal contacts within switchgear, providing reliable insulation for the switching and isolation of high-voltage circuits.
Operating Conditions
Installation altitude shall not exceed 1000 m;
Ambient air temperature range: -10°C to +40°C; relative humidity shall not exceed 95% at 20°C;
The installation site shall be free of gases, vapors, dust, and other explosive or corrosive media that could significantly impair the insulation performance of the contact box;
The product shall be installed in locations free from severe vibration and mechanical shock, to ensure structural integrity;
Intended for indoor installation; compatible with standard busbar mounting configurations.
Product Features
Excellent insulation performance: Formed using epoxy resin APG process, providing superior insulation properties capable of effectively isolating high-voltage circuits, preventing leakage and short-circuit risks, and withstanding high-voltage impulse;
Robust and durable construction: Monolithic molded structure offers high mechanical strength, capable of withstanding both mechanical and electrical stresses within switchgear enclosures, resulting in extended service life;
Effective temperature rise control: Under continuous rated current operation, the temperature rise at the outlet terminal does not exceed 65°C, ensuring safe equipment operation and preventing failures caused by excessive thermal buildup;
Convenient installation: Standardized mounting dimensions compatible with conventional centrally-mounted switchgear installation requirements, facilitating on-site installation and replacement;
Corrosion and oxidation resistance: Epoxy resin construction provides excellent resistance to corrosion and oxidation, suitable for a wide range of complex power system environments;
Superior surface finish: Smooth, burr-free surface finish for ease of installation, with good flame-retardant and wear-resistant characteristics.
