Product Overview
The TG3-10Q/140×200 Wall-Throught Bushing is an insulating component designed for indoor high-voltage complete equipment rated at 10 kV and below.
Manufactured from epoxy resin using the APG pressure gelation process, the product provides excellent electrical insulation, mechanical strength, and environmental adaptability. It is mainly used where busbars or conductive bars pass through switchgear partitions, providing electrical insulation and a transition connection.
It is a key insulating component for complete electrical equipment such as KYN28 withdrawable switchgear and HXGN ring main units.
Product Features
Excellent Insulation Performance
The product is manufactured from high-purity epoxy resin and undergoes high-temperature curing and ageing treatment.
It provides high dielectric strength and a partial discharge level of no more than 5 pC. It can withstand a power-frequency voltage of 42 kV and a lightning impulse voltage of 75 kV, meeting the insulation safety requirements of 10 kV power systems.
Optimized Structural Design
The bushing features a square mounting flange in the middle and multiple insulating sheds at both ends.
The shed structure effectively increases the creepage distance and improves resistance to contamination and moisture.
The 140 × 200 mm oval inner opening is suitable for corresponding copper busbars and conductive bars, making installation convenient.
High Mechanical Strength
The one-piece moulded structure contains no joints and provides excellent resistance to impact, ageing, cracking, and deformation.
It can withstand long-term switchgear installation stress and the thermal expansion and contraction of busbars while maintaining stable structural performance.
Strong Environmental Adaptability
The product is resistant to moisture, contamination, high temperatures, and low temperatures.
No special maintenance is required under normal indoor operating conditions. Periodic cleaning of surface contamination is normally sufficient.
Reliable Manufacturing Process
The APG pressure gelation process provides high product consistency and a dense internal structure without bubbles or defects.
Its stable electrical performance meets the applicable requirements for high-voltage electrical accessories.

Installation and Maintenance
Installation Requirements
- Before installation, inspect the bushing to ensure that there are no cracks, damage, bubbles, deformation, or other visible defects. The insulating surface must be clean and free from contamination.
- Install the bushing according to the switchgear partition opening. The mounting structure should be compatible with the 170 × 240 mm flange.
- Ensure that the flange fits closely against the switchgear partition and provides reliable sealing.
- When inserting a busbar or copper bar, prevent sharp conductor edges from scratching the inner surface of the bushing.
- Maintain an even clearance between the busbar and the inner wall. The conductor must not press against or apply excessive mechanical force to the bushing.
- After installation, check the insulation clearance between the bushing, switchgear enclosure, and busbar. The completed installation must meet the safety clearance requirements of 10 kV equipment.
Maintenance Requirements
- Routine inspection: Regularly inspect the surface for dust, condensation, electrical discharge marks, and other contamination. Confirm that the flange remains securely fastened.
- Periodic maintenance: Clean the insulating surface every 6 to 12 months. Inspect the insulation condition and conduct a withstand voltage test when necessary.
- Abnormal conditions: If electrical discharge marks, cracks, deformation, or other abnormalities are found, immediately de-energize the equipment and replace the bushing. Do not continue operating a defective product.
Precautions
- This product is intended for indoor use only. It must not be used in outdoor, high-humidity, or heavily polluted environments unless a customized version is selected.
- Installation and maintenance must be carried out by qualified electrical personnel in strict accordance with high-voltage electrical safety procedures. All work must be performed after the equipment has been de-energized.
- Avoid impact and dropping during transportation and storage to prevent damage to the bushing.
- Store the product in a dry and ventilated environment free from corrosive gases.
- Product dimensions and technical parameters are subject to the final factory drawings. Customized specifications must be confirmed in advance.
