CG3-10Q/85×170 Indoor High-Voltage Live Display Device Sensor (High-Altitude Type)

Product Overview

The CG3-10Q/85×170 Indoor High-Voltage Live Display Device Sensor (including the 160 and 170 High-Altitude types) is a core component designed specifically for 10kV-class indoor high-voltage electrical systems. Manufactured using epoxy resin integral casting, it delivers outstanding insulation performance, mechanical strength, and environmental adaptability. Suitable for special operating conditions including high-altitude environments, it is used in conjunction with high-voltage live display devices to provide real-time monitoring of energized status in high-voltage circuits and to issue safety warnings. It serves as a critical safety component for high-voltage switchgear, ring main units, and similar equipment.

Product Features

Insulation and Electrical Performance

Produced via an integral vacuum epoxy casting process with no air gaps or voids, ensuring stable insulation performance capable of withstanding the rated voltage and transient overvoltages of 10kV systems with adequate insulation margin.

Stable capacitance characteristics ensure high compatibility with live display devices, enabling accurate detection of energized status in high-voltage circuits with no risk of false or missed indications.

Meets high-altitude design requirements with an optimized insulation structure for low-pressure, high-elevation environments, preventing corona discharge, flashover, and other insulation faults.

Mechanical and Structural Characteristics

Integrated shed design increases creepage distance and enhances resistance to pollution-induced flashover and moisture ingress, suitable for complex indoor environments.

High mechanical strength with resistance to impact and vibration; capable of withstanding mechanical stresses during switchgear transportation, installation, and operation without risk of cracking or deformation.

Compact structure with easy installation; compatible with standard 10kV indoor high-voltage switchgear mounting dimensions, offering strong interchangeability.

Environmental Adaptability

Excellent weathering resistance; operates across a wide temperature range of -40°C to +70°C with no degradation in insulation or mechanical performance at temperature extremes.

Resistant to moisture, mold, and salt fog; capable of long-term stable operation in high-humidity and dusty indoor environments.

High-altitude type products are optimized for elevations of 3,000 m to 5,000 m, meeting insulation and operational requirements under low atmospheric pressure conditions.

Safety and Reliability

Fully insulated construction with no exposed live parts, eliminating the risk of electric shock and ensuring safe operation and maintenance.

Long service life, maintenance-free, with no long-term aging or performance degradation, ensuring high reliability.

Complies with national standards for high-voltage electrical equipment; validated through type testing; safety-compliant.

Technical Parameters

Application Scope

Applicable voltage level: 10kV (7.2kV to 12kV) indoor high-voltage AC systems.

Applicable equipment: Indoor high-voltage switchgear (KYN28, XGN, etc.), ring main units, compact substations, high-voltage busbar compartments, and other 10kV indoor high-voltage electrical equipment.

Applicable scenarios:

Conventional indoor high-voltage distribution rooms and substations;

High-altitude regions (3,000 m to 5,000 m): indoor high-voltage power stations, industrial and mining enterprise distribution systems;

High-voltage distribution systems operating in harsh indoor environments with high humidity, heavy dust, or extreme temperatures;

Indoor high-voltage distribution equipment at new energy (photovoltaic, wind power) step-up stations.

Functional pairing: Used in conjunction with high-voltage live display devices to monitor the energized status of high-voltage circuits, provide interlocking control, prevent misoperation, and ensure safe operation and maintenance.

Operating Conditions

Normal Operating Conditions

Altitude: Standard type ≤2,000 m; High-Altitude type: 3,000 m to 5,000 m;

Ambient temperature: -40°C to +70°C; daily average temperature ≤+35°C;

Relative humidity: daily average relative humidity ≤95%; monthly average relative humidity ≤90% (at 25°C);

Environmental conditions: free from severe pollution, corrosive gases, flammable or explosive media, and violent vibration or shock;

Installation method: vertically mounted inside the switchgear with reliable connection to the high-voltage busbar/conductor.

Special Operating Conditions (Customization Required)

Altitude exceeding 5,000 m;

Ambient temperature outside the range of -40°C to +70°C;

Severely polluted, salt-fog, or chemically corrosive environments;

Heavy vibration or high-impact conditions;

Non-vertical installation orientations.

Installation and Maintenance

Installation Requirements

Before installation, inspect the product for cracks, damage, and voids; verify that the insulation surface is undamaged;

Mount vertically inside the switchgear; secure the base reliably with bolts to ensure firm installation;

Connect the top terminal reliably to the high-voltage busbar/conductor; verify that contact resistance meets requirements;

The wiring between the sensor and the live display device must be shielded and insulated to prevent interference;

After installation, perform insulation resistance testing and power-frequency withstand voltage testing before commissioning.

Maintenance Requirements

Periodically inspect the product exterior for cracks, discharge marks, and accumulated contamination;

Periodically perform insulation resistance testing and power-frequency withstand voltage testing to verify insulation integrity;

Clean the product surface to remove dust and contamination; keep the insulation surface dry and clean;

If abnormalities such as cracks, damage, or discharge are detected, immediately take the unit out of service and replace it.

Precautions

Installation, commissioning, and maintenance must be performed by qualified electrical personnel; operation by unqualified individuals is strictly prohibited;

Before installation or maintenance, ensure the high-voltage circuit is completely de-energized and that all safety precautions are in place;

High-Altitude type products must not be used at elevations outside their design range, as this may cause insulation failure;

Unauthorized disassembly or modification of the product will void the warranty and safety certification;

During transportation and storage, protect the product from moisture, vibration, and mechanical impact to prevent insulation damage.
