Product Overview
The JY PT-15/200A PT Connector, also known as an elbow connector, is a fully-shielded separable cable connector designed for 15kV (compatible with 10kV systems) voltage transformer (PT) or transformer terminations rated at 200A. Manufactured using EPDM rubber integral injection molding, it features fully-insulated, fully-sealed, and touchsafe construction. It is primarily used for connecting voltage transformers and power transformers in European-style ring main units and cable branch boxes, providing safe and reliable electrical connections and protection for power distribution systems.
Product Features
Insulation and Electrical Performance
Manufactured from premium EPDM rubber by integral injection molding, the connector offers excellent insulation performance capable of withstanding the operating voltage of 15kV systems. Power frequency withstand voltage and impulse withstand voltage performance comply with industry standards, ensuring safe electrical connections.
Built-in semiconducting shielding layer provides uniform electric field distribution, eliminates partial discharge risk caused by electric field concentration, and enhances long-term operational reliability.
Fully-sealed construction with IP67 protection rating effectively prevents ingress of moisture, dust, and oil, making it suitable for harsh environments such as high humidity and heavy dust conditions, ensuring stable electrical connections.
Installation and Construction Features
Separable plug-in design enables convenient installation without special tools. Direct connection to equipment via standardized interfaces allows fast construction, significantly reducing installation time and lowering construction costs.
Standardized interface is compatible with 15kV/200A European-style distribution equipment, voltage transformers, and power transformers, offering strong universality and good interchangeability for easy equipment maintenance and capacity expansion.
Fully-insulated, touchsafe construction ensures the connector surface is at ground potential after installation, with no exposed live parts, eliminating the need for additional insulation protection and ensuring the safety of operations and maintenance personnel.
Environmental and Weather Resistance
Excellent weatherability accommodates a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +90°C. Rubber elasticity and insulation performance show no degradation at high or low temperatures, with no risk of cracking, embrittlement, or deformation, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Anti-aging, UV-resistant, and ozone-resistant, with a service life exceeding 20 years. Maintenance-free operation reduces long-term operations and maintenance costs.
Chemical corrosion resistance allows use in harsh environments including high humidity, heavy dust, salt fog, and mild acid-alkali conditions, with no risk of corrosion or degradation, suitable for industrial and mining enterprises and coastal regions.
Mechanical and Safety Features
High mechanical strength of the rubber material provides tear and tensile resistance, capable of withstanding mechanical stresses during construction and operation without risk of damage or cracking.
Designed with anti-misoperation and electric shock protection features. Automatic grounding upon full installation ensures a touchsafe connector surface with high safety, suitable for distribution scenarios with frequent personnel contact.
Compact structure and small form factor accommodate installation in confined spaces without spatial constraints.

Installation and Maintenance
Installation Requirements
Before installation, inspect the product appearance to confirm the connector is free of cracks, damage, and voids, and that all accessories are complete and undamaged.
Strip the cable in accordance with the process requirements; the strip length must comply with the connector specification. Avoid damaging the cable insulation during stripping. After stripping, clean the cable surface to remove oil, dust, and contaminants, ensuring the surface is dry and clean.
After crimping the cable conductor onto the terminal lug, insert it into the connector body and adjust the position to ensure reliable connection. Then insert the connector directly into the equipment interface and verify full engagement.
After installation, verify the connector connection is secure with no looseness or misalignment, and that the grounding connection is sound. Confirm everything is correct before completing installation.
Maintenance Requirements
Periodically inspect the connector appearance for cracks, damage, discharge marks, or contamination accumulation. Verify the connector is tightly seated on the equipment with no looseness or gaps.
Periodically test connector insulation resistance and contact resistance to ensure performance meets requirements and to identify potential defects in a timely manner.
Clean the connector surface to remove accumulated dust and contaminants, keeping the surface dry and clean, and preventing corrosion from oil or chemical substances.
If abnormalities such as cracks, damage, discharge, insulation resistance out of specification, or contact resistance out of specification are found, replace the connector immediately. Operation with known defects is strictly prohibited.
