The disconnector, as a special auxiliary product for lightning arresters, is used in series with the prepäťová ochrana. On the other hand, when the arrester operates normally, the disconnector does not act and presents low impedance, not affecting the protective function of the arrester. Only lightning arresters equipped with disconnectors can truly achieve safe and maintenance-free use, ensuring convenience and reliability. In developed countries and regions such as Europe, the United States, and Japan, disconnectors are commonly used in distribution, power station, and line-type lightning arresters.
