summary
The disconnector, as a special auxiliary product for lightning arresters, is used in series with the arrester. When the arrester fails, the disconnector can act quickly to remove the faulty arrester from the power grid and provide a clear disconnection indication, making it easier for maintenance personnel to locate the fault and replace the arrester. On the other hand, when the arrester operates normally, the disconnector does not act and presents low impedance, not affecting the protective function of the arrester. Only lightning arresters equipped with disconnectors can truly achieve safe and maintenance-free use, ensuring convenience and reliability. In developed countries and regions such as Europe, the United States, and Japan, disconnectors are commonly used in distribution, power station, and line-type lightning arresters.

Our company’s disconnectors use a new thermal explosion design, featuring fast response and no false operation. They can be used in conjunction with various models of lightning arresters with ratings of 3KV and above. The operating conditions are the same as those for the arrester.
