15kV Eco-Integrated Node Switchgear Quick Connectors

Product Overview

The 15kV Eco-Integrated Node Switchgear Quick Connectors are dedicated quick-connection devices designed specifically for 10kV/15kV eco-friendly gas (nitrogen/dry air) insulated integrated node switchgear. They enable rapid mating between switchgear and bypass cables/transfer equipment, supporting live-line bypass operations, emergency power supply, and other scenarios where energized switchgear interface connections must be made without de-energization. These connectors are core accessory components for live-line operations on eco-friendly medium-voltage switchgear.

Product Features

Electrical and Insulation Performance

Employing an insulation structure design dedicated to eco-friendly switchgear, compatible with nitrogen/dry air insulating environments, the connectors exhibit excellent insulation performance. They can withstand the rated system voltage of 15kV as well as transient overvoltages, meeting the operational requirements of a maximum working voltage of 17.5kV, with partial discharge level ≤10pC (at 1.5U₀).

The built-in high-purity copper conductive inner core delivers outstanding electrical conductivity and extremely low contact resistance, capable of carrying rated currents of 250A/630A with no heating or oxidation during long-term operation, satisfying the demands of high-current bypass power supply.

The integrated electric field optimization structure and insulating shields uniformly distribute the interface electric field and effectively suppress partial discharge. The connectors also provide superior gas-sealing performance to prevent leakage of eco-friendly gas from the switchgear, with no risk of electrical erosion or dielectric breakdown during long-term operation, ensuring stable and reliable electrical and sealing performance.

Structural and Safety Features

The standardized interface design strictly complies with industry standards for eco-friendly integrated node switchgear and is universally interchangeable with dedicated interfaces of mainstream 15kV eco-friendly gas switchgear, offering strong compatibility.

The monolithic modular structure incorporates a quick-lock connection mechanism requiring no additional tools, enabling rapid mating of switchgear and bypass equipment and significantly reducing the construction cycle of live-line operations.

A dual-function design integrates self-positioning anti-withdrawal retention and gas sealing. Upon complete interface installation, the mechanism automatically locks while simultaneously providing effective sealing of the eco-friendly gas inside the switchgear, preventing loosening, dislodgement, and gas leakage during operation, thereby enhancing system safety.

Full insulation protection design provides high outer insulation strength, allowing direct contact with the housing during energized operation without risk of electric shock, ensuring the safety of operations and maintenance personnel.

Environmental and Weather Resistance

Excellent weatherability enables adaptation to a wide temperature range of -40°C to +90°C. The conductive inner core and insulating components exhibit no degradation, cracking, or embrittlement at extreme temperatures, making the connectors suitable for both indoor and outdoor eco-friendly switchgear operation.

Moisture-proof, waterproof, pollution-resistant, and salt fog-resistant with an IP67 protection rating, the connectors operate reliably over the long term in harsh environments such as humid, dusty, and saline atmospheres, with no susceptibility to rainwater or condensation corrosion. They are simultaneously compatible with nitrogen/dry air insulating environments with no risk of gas leakage.

Anti-aging and anti-corrosion properties are ensured by tin/silver plating on the conductive inner core surface to prevent oxidation and corrosion, while the insulating components are fabricated from materials resistant to eco-friendly gases. Service life exceeds 10 years with maintenance-free operation, reducing long-term operational and maintenance costs.

Mechanical and Compatibility Features

High mechanical strength with impact and vibration resistance allows the connectors to withstand mechanical stresses encountered during transportation, installation, and operation, with no risk of deformation or damage, making them suitable for complex field working environments.

Compatible with the dedicated interfaces of 10kV/15kV eco-friendly integrated node switchgear, nitrogen-insulated ring main units, dry air-insulated compact substations, and similar equipment, the connectors offer strong universality and can be used in conjunction with mainstream bypass cables, transfer cables, and shunt devices.

The modular design supports repeated insertion and withdrawal, with convenient maintenance and reduced equipment investment costs for live-line operations.
